• Include two drivers in the contract.
• Pick up and Drop off service at Juan Santamaria International Airport (possible extra fee depending on the individual case).
• Pick up and Drop off service at Liberia International Airport (Fee depend on the individual case).
• Pick up and Drop off service at your Hotel or other location (possible extra fee depending on the individual case).
• Valid passport or cedula
• Valid driver license and being older than 21 years old
• We don’t take credit cards
• Cash is accepted and Paypal
• $600 usd deposit (Cash or Paypal no credit cards blocks for big amounts and weeks)
• Flight number day and hour (if there is airport pick up).
The rental fee is applied for 24 hours, after 2 hours return time, half a day rental will be charged, after 6 hours one day will be charged and the car wouldn’t necessarily have to be returned
• The car should be delivered with same amount of fuel show at contract. In case it is returned with less fuel, a fee will be charged for supplying.
• The car should be returned clean, in case of extreme dirt, $10 will be charge
In case of theft, collision, a complaint filed with the appropriate authority will be requested
• If the car is returned in another location or city, a Return Fee will be charged
Vehicle are restricted to transit only within Costa Rica
1. Injury or death to people for 300 million colones.
2. Medical charges for 10 million colones per passenger.
3. Damage to property of others for 60 million colones.
4. Roadside assistance, including taxi.
5. Roll over.
6. Theft (don’t cover any baggage or personal items).
7. Vandalism.
8. Damage caused by nature.
With this policy both rented vehicle as third persons property or vehicles are also covered, thus freeing the driver from liability payment only deductible of $700 usd. Insurance will not cover in case of negligence as driving on beaches, rivers, lakes, restricted areas, under the influence of alcohol or drugs or the violation of any of the conditions of the contract.

We were recently in Costa Rica for two months and rented a vehicle from Cesar. It was an excellent experience. The vehicle was immaculate and well maintained and the price was much better than the car rentals at the airport. Plus Cesar was most helpful and accommodating. He was willing to pick us up and return us to airport at no additional cost as our flights were at less convenient hours. He also provided helpful hints about driving and getting around in CR which we were very appreciative of as driving in CR can be pretty hairy. He is honest and very professional and committed to providing the highest quality service to his customers. And he is an all-around good guy that we now consider a friend! We would highly recommend him!
Had a great experience renting a car from Cesar. The car we rented did well on the many dirt roads we traversed on our trip through rural areas of Costa Rica. Unfortunately the air conditioning in the car broke while we were traveling, but Cesar drove to us with a different car for us to use while he had the ac fixed. I would definitely recommend Best Deal Rent A Car over the larger car rental companies because of the better price, ease of the whole process, and because Cesar is willing to go out of his way to make sure you havw a great trip!

Wonderful experience with Cesar! We rented a SUV for three weeks. He delivered it to the house nice and clean and full of gas. We had no problems with the vehicle. At the end of our rental, Cesar came and picked the car up. Could not ask for an easier transaction. Thanks so much! We will definitely use you next time we are in CR.
